SPEAKING & TRAINING/SEMINARS with Carolyn Craft

  • Information on NonViolent Communication Seminars

Keynote sample of topics include:

CREATING YOUR LIFE IN HARMONY WITH YOUR VALUES:  Participants are given information to use in exploring how and why they make certain choices in their life.  They learn to identify needs, motivations and self-judgments.  Values are discovered and matched with motivations and true needs.

STEPS FOR ACTUALIZING YOUR GOALS:  Participants identify their goals and evaluate their current habits in terms of supporting those goals.  At the intersection of Knowledge, Attitude, and Skill is a Habit.  Qualities associated with success are identified. Vision, Discipline, Passion and Conscience are brought together to encourage and support their personal success.

THE COURAGE TO HEAL:  Participants learn to identify their feelings about where they are in their life, what they feel about their body, and what messages they might be carrying.  Boundary making and setting limits are central to this seminar.

COMMUNICATING YOUR NEEDS:  Participants receive a four-step process to identify and communicate their desires and needs.  This is often called ‘Win-Win Communication’ or Nonviolent Communication.  Team work and exercises incorporate strengthening compassion and empathy within the participant and within the recipient of their communications.

12 POWERS FOR SUCCESS:  Participants explore who they are, who others are in their life, what does life and the physical world mean to them.  They learn to see how they are creating a life for success or how they are creating a life from a place of ‘reaction’ or ‘victim’.  They are introduced to 12 human qualities which all humans possess and are invited to identify which of these personal powers need strengthening or are already part of their capabilities.

ENERGY – HOW TO CAPITALIZE AND UTILIZE:  Participants learn about energy and how to conserve and how to utilize in order to power their goals.  Ones intention speaks louder than what one says.  Exercises and mindfulness practices are incorporated for participants to experience energy awareness in the body and in those around them.

WRITING FOR LIFE:  Participants begin journaling as a way of creative expression and self-knowledge.  Tips and tools for effective self-communication through writing are practiced.

SELF-CARE/STRENGTHENING BOUNDARIES:  Participants engage in a team experience/exercise where they share where and when self-care is evident and where it is not.  Lecture and personal inventory material uncovers and explores ways to increase boundaries and self-care.

FEELINGS – DISTINGUISHING, IDENTIFYING, and RESOURCING:  Participants are invited to identify the ways in which feelings show up, to distinguish the stimulus for feelings from the cause, and to witness and utilize feeling energy in ways which lead to harmony.

GIVING & RECEIVING:  Participants learn the power of giving and receiving, and learn how to communicate their needs through compassionate communication.  This work invites cooperation and support from and within all relationships.
